Press release from the consortium

It can be concluded that inappropriate donations are still taking place, and it is agreed that monitoring is necessary. After the meeting, many e-mails were received on examples of bad donations and questions were asked how to deal with it. It seems it is often not possible to say no to a donation, quite often for political reasons, and then there is no money for destruction.
As one of the Indian participants said: “Why do people donate?”

The consortium will be further developing the monitoring proposal before sending it to the WHO. We would appreciate very much your ideas and suggestions. How would a monitoring system would work in your eyes? Click here to let us know.
